GlaxoSmithKline’s Headquarters / GSK Asia House is a 6-storey corporate office located at Rochester Park, Singapore. The corporate office was designed by a renowned design architect with an atrium space connecting all 6-storeys as a single volume. The outcome is an agile, open and multi-layered campus that brings the aspirations of GSK’s people to life around them.

Due to the complex atrium design and the architectural intent to use minimal smoke curtains, the mechanical smoke control system for the atrium was upsized to eliminate/reduce the need of smoke curtains to form the smoke reservoir in the atrium space.

Extensive CFD modelling were conducted to derive the optimized smoke control system to meet the building design intent with acceptable life safety criteria.

Singapore Land Tower is an existing 48-storey (190 m) skyscraper located in the central business district of Singapore. The building was built in the early 1980s. In the year 2020, the building underwent a major asset enhancement initiative (AEI) for its main entrance lobby spanning 5-storeys high.

CFD modelling and evacuation simulation were conducted to formulate the performance-based designs to address the extended discharge distance and fire compartmentation deviations.

Surbana Jurong Campus will house its global headquarters office at Jurong Innovation District (JID), Singapore. The campus will be able to house up to 4,000 employees in its 68,915 m2 development. The campus will serve as the core centre for SJ’s research and development of innovation to deliver a sustainable urban solution to the industry and community.
